RAPCON @ IALCCE2023
The Eighth International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering took place in Milan (Italy) on July 2-6, 2023.
UniBo research unit participated with a paper entitled “Performance and environmental analysis of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) concrete produced in industrial environment”.

AIMAT 2023 national congress took place in Catania (Italy) on 28 may-1st june 2023.
PoliMi research unit participated with a scientific poster on the corrosion behaviour
of steel rebar embedded in concrete
made with RAP.
RAPCON @ CMSS23
The RILEM Spring Convention-CMSS23 was held on 6-11 March 2023 in Rabat, Morocco.
UniBO research team presented a scientific contribution on the evaluation of sustainability of innovative concrete made with Recycled Asphalt Pavement.
RAPCON @ ICEFORUM2023
The ‘International Forum on Infrastructure and Civil Engineering (ICEFORUM2023)’ conference was held on 6-8 February 2023 in Porto, Portugal.
Prof. Maria Chiara Bignozzi participated by presenting part of the experimental results obtained by the UNIBO research unit.
SCALE-UP
After an initial experimental investigation on laboratory test specimens, a scale-up phase of the project was carried out in November 2022.
The mix recipe optimized in laboratory was successfully reproduced at the plant of the industrial partner CTI-COOP, in Imola (Bologna).
RAPCON @ RACTSI
The Fifteenth International Conference on Recent Advances in Concrete Technology and Sustainability Issues (RACTSI) was held on 13-15 July 2022 in Milan, Italy.
The research team of Politecnico di Milano participated by presenting two scientific contributions on RAP aggregate and concrete made with RAP.
RAPCON WORKSHOP
The first workshop on RAPCON project was held on 22 March 2022, during which the first results obtained by the three research units were presented.
The workshop was open to the public in online mode and received interest from participants from various Italian universities and companies operating in the construction sector.
RAPCON @ AIMAT2021
Part of the research units of Project RAPCON finally met at AIMAT 2021 national congress held in Cagliari from 14 to 19 september!
Three works have been presented,
concerning the overview and objectives of the project, and some of the preliminary results
on characterizazion of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP).
RAPCON project gets started!
26/05/2020: With the first (virtual) kick-off meeting,
RAPCON project has officially started! The individual research units presented themselves, explaining their main role and activities in the project. The industrial partners presented themselves and explained how they will be involved in the project. The communication plan was finally shown and discussed, and a first “virtual group pic” was created, waiting to meet personally in the future!
